Since forming, The Queen Extravaganza has toured North America and the United Kingdom to huge acclaim. More than 20 million viewers watched the band's international television debut on American Idol in April 2012.

"This band is now so frighteningly good, I would hate to have to follow them on stage," says Taylor.

Hong Kong Sevens fans can look forward to rocking along to Queen stadium anthems like "We Will Rock You", "We Are the Champions", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Another One Bites the Dust" and more.

The Queen Extravaganza will perform on Saturday afternoon following the renowned Hong Kong Sevens March Past when the massed pipes and drums of the Hong Kong Police, Auxiliary Police, and Scout Pipe Bands will lead out the 28 participating national teams and members of Hong Kong's 20 mini rugby clubs in the traditional pitch parade.

The HKRFU is doubling down on the musical performances in 2014 with a nod to the tournament's Hong Kong roots as the stadium will be rocking to Hong Kong's own hip-hop heroes, 24Herbs, accompanied by the city's premier jazz guitarist Eugene Pao.

24Herbs are a six piece collective with a growing reputation, having released two critically acclaimed albums and recently topped the local charts with collaboration with movie star Nicholas Tse. Eugene Pao's name is synonymous in Hong Kong with jazz. A pioneer in local music circles, Eugene was the first local jazz artist with an international recording contract.

The traditional assembly of local school bands will once again take pride of place in the Hong Kong Stadium during the weekend of the Sevens. The East Upper Level concourse will again feature a wide array of musical entertainment on the mini-stage.

Joining the school bands from the Hong Kong International School, Canadian International School, German Swiss School, and International Christian College will be the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir returning for a second year, as well as local cover band Bus Uncle.

Adding to the international entertainment, the Oxford Gargoyles, an internationally renowned jazz a capella group will delight fans with their mix of toe-tapping jazz standards and grooving funk tunes.

Combining the best of sports performance and entertainment, the Kukri Starlets will return to encourage players and crowd alike, performing to the sounds being spun by Tournament DJs Simon & Simon.

According to Simon Southgate, the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens Tournament Entertainment Manager and one-half of Simon & Simon, this year's entertainment is going to take the Sevens to a new level.

"The event is all about the rugby, but we want to make sure that we support the best Sevens action in the world with the best atmosphere, and the music plays a key role in that.

"We're confident that we've got the tunes to keep the Stadium bouncing all weekend, and with 24Herbs, Eugene Pao and Queen Extravaganza in the line-up it's going to be a very memorable event. If you're coming to this year's Sevens, I can guarantee that 'We Will Rock You'!"
