Exhilarated and Exhausted by Neal Preston

"Hello to all the Queen fans worldwide!

I am proud to say the following: to this day I consider Brian and Roger family, and I will always treasure the time I spent with them, Freddie, John, and their road crew. Every member of the band and every member of their crew worked harder than you can imagine to produce concerts that were magical and unforgettable. I’ve been lucky enough to have been invited along for part of that ride…but it’s work, not play.

Nobody ever thinks about the constant deadlines, the travel, the pressures, or any of the other potholes (literally and figuratively) in the road . Spending my whole life working closely with bands like Queen has certainly felt like a dream- at least most of the time!

The vision I’d had brewing in my brain was to produce a book that would allow the reader to come as close as possible to feeling what I’ve felt working with world-class artists like Queen, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac or the Who.

And the title, “Exhilarated and Exhausted”, is simply my description of how I feel every day of my life.

You think I have the dream job of all time? Not so fast, buddy…"
