Queen took Italy by storm on when they appeared as guests of Luciano Pavarotti in the world famous tenor’s 10th Anniversary Pavarotti and Friends charity concert which took place on Tuesday night in Pavarotti’s home town of Modena.

Queen joined an illustrious bill of world famous performers including Bono, Ricky Martin, Eric Clapton, Deep Purple, Lionel Richie and Andrea Bocelli to help Pavarotti raise funds for his work in helping Iraqi refugees return to their country and restart their lives.

Queen opened the concert with a storming version of We Will Rock You with vocals by Brian and Roger which had the multi-thousand crowd on their feet.

The band returned mid-concert to perform Radio Ga Ga with Roger on vocals before being joined on stage by the Maestro, Pavarotti, himself, for an emotionally charged version of Too Much Love Will Kill You, performed by Brian and Pavarotti.

Brian had previously performed the song for Pavarotti in the very first Pavarotti and Friends concert held in 1992. Having returned to perform again just over ten years later, Pavarotti specially requested to perform the song as a duet with Brian.

Queen returned to end the concert performing We Are The Champions with Italian rock hero Zucchero sharing vocals with Brian and Roger. The number again saw the entire crowd rise to its feet confirming, if any confirmation were needed, that Queen remain champions of rock throughout the world.
