What is the most classic rock song out there today? PlanetRock.com polled music lovers to get the answer. They asked which tune has truly weathered the test of time and is just really good. Not surprisingly, the winner was Led Zeppelin's classic track “Stairway to Heaven,” which many feel defined classic rock with its sound, solos, length and varying tempo and volume. In fact, Zep had seven songs in the top 70, followed by Deep Purple who had six, including the number two track, “Smoke on the Water.” The bronze went to Lynyrd Skynyrd's “Freebird.”
