Wayne's World and Bohemian Rhapsody - 25 Years

"I think we'll go with a little Bohemian Rhapsody, gentlemen..."

Wayne's World, starring starring Mike Myers as Wayne Campbell and Dana Carvey as Garth Algar, was released 25 years ago today.

In 2000, readers of Total Film magazine voted Wayne's World the 41st-greatest comedy film of all time.

"Bohemian Rhapsody"subsquently went to No.2 in the US Billboard singles charts, 17 years after it was first released. The soundtrack album reached No.1 on the Billboard album chart. The studio originally wanted to use a Guns N' Roses song for the scene, but Myers demanded "Bohemian Rhapsody", even threatening to quit the production unless it was used.

"Good call!"
