This fall, Stuttgart will start rocking!

At the end of November, the international musical sensation WE WILL ROCK YOU with the immortal songs of rock band QUEEN will premiere at the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart.

With more than 6 million visitors, WE WILL ROCK YOU is among the most successful current musical productions. Now Stage Entertainment and Michael Brenner will produce this unique blend of rock music and a thrilling, humorous sci fi-story written by British bestelling author Ben Elton in the south of Germany.
Says Patrick Gott, CEO of Stuttgart’s Apollo Theaters: “WE WILL ROCK YOU is pure energy! Queen’s music is just as powerful as ever. This will be a definite musical highlight for the south of Germany.”

By producing WE WILL ROCK YOU in Stuttgart, Germany’s two leading musical agencies, BB Group und Stage Entertainment, celebrate their first ever co-production.

“With its high-quality productions, the Apollo Theater attracts an audience counting in millions, and therefore offers ideal conditions for this elaborate German original production. We are very pleased to present the musical in cooperation with Stage Entertainment,” states Michael Brenner, German producer of WE WILL ROCK YOU.

With countless number 1 hits and their unforgettable live shows, QUEEN is one among the rare and legendary bands to write international music history. With the musical WE WILL ROCK YOU the band has been crowning their unparalleled success equally.

The QUEEN musical celebrated its international premiere on May 14th 2002 in London’s Dominion Theater, one of the largest stages in the West End. In December 2004, the show opened in the Musical Dome Cologne, where it has since then been celebrated enthusiastically, with standing ovations every night. To this day, an audience of more than 1.5 million people has enjoyed the show there. In spite of continuing audience appeal, Cologne’s city council could no longer guarantee upkeeping the Dome theater right next to the famous cathedral. Therfore, WE WILL ROCK YOU’s stay in Cologne will end on September 30th 2008.

WE WILL ROCK YOU is a production of Queen Theatrical Productions/Phil McIntyre Entertainments production together with Robert De Niro’s Tribeca Theatrical Productions. Music and lyrics are by QUEEN, with a script by and under the direction of Ben Elton. Music supervision has been in control of Brian May und Roger Taylor. Executive Producer is Dagmar Windisch.
