Queen Launches Côtes de Provence Rosé

A new expression of Provence led by Queen’s Roger Taylor

From today, a new rosé from one of the most iconic names in music lands in the market, bringing together the heritage of Provence with the creative spirit and uncompromising standards that have defined Queen for more than five decades.

Queen Côtes de Provence Rosé has been conceived and led by Roger Taylor, legendary drummer of Queen.

Developed in close collaboration with Sony Music, Watermill Wines, Les Caves du Commandeur and Rupert Clevely, the wine reflects Taylor’s hands-on involvement in shaping a rosé that prioritises quality, consistency and genuine enjoyment.

While Queen’s name carries global recognition, this is not a licensing exercise. From the outset, Taylor has worked directly with the winemaking team, contributing to the development of the blend and the overall vision, driven by a simple idea: that rosé should be joyful, dependable and made to be shared – not overcomplicated or style-led.

The result is a wine that carries Queen’s enduring ethos into a new space, crafted with the precision and expertise of one of Provence’s most respected producers—handpicked by Watermill Wines for their exceptional quality and built on a trusted decade-long partnership.

There is a natural sense of uplift to the wine – a feeling that echoes the “don’t stop me now” spirit often associated with Queen’s music. It is intended to enhance the moment rather than define it; to bring people together rather than sit apart as something reserved only for special occasions.

This philosophy extends from the liquid itself through to the design. The wine is beautifully packaged in a unique pyramid-punted bottle, with refined proportions, tactile detailing and finished with a stunning glass stopper, designed to stand out both on shelf and on table.

Queen Côtes de Provence Rosé delivers a clear expression of Provence, with a “rhapsody” of wild strawberry and ripe red berry aromas. The beautifully balanced texture harmonises ripe, supple fruit with fresh citrus acidity, giving a silky creaminess to the mid-palate - an unmistakable hallmark of a great rosé. The cuvée is approachable, yet delicately complex.

Central to the project is Roger Taylor’s personal involvement, not simply as a figurehead, but as an active contributor to the development of the wine.

Roger Taylor said: “We’ve always believed in doing things properly, and that was the starting point here. I’ve spent a lot of time around rosé over the years, and I wanted to create something that felt consistent, expressive, and genuinely enjoyable in partnership with good friends. It needed to have that sense of joy to it – something that brings people together. This isn’t about putting a name on a bottle; it’s about creating something with real integrity.”

Queen Côtes de Provence Rosé is now available via www.queenwinesofficial.com and national retailers priced at £18 per bottle, making it widely accessible to consumers across the UK from launch.
