“I want people to be able to get the sounds you make in a stadium show into your living room, and these products achieve that. I hope that people find them inspiring,” said Brian May after unveiling his signature MV50 and amPlug.

Introducing the amPlug Brian May:
With the amPlug Brian May guitar headphone amplifier, you can get the legendary guitarist’s classic tone anytime, anywhere - through any set of standard headphones.

Designed to recreate the unique sound of Brian’s Red Special and cranked AC30 signal chain (and not to forget the sixpence), our mission with this very special edition of the amPlug was to make Brian’s instantly recognisable tone accessible to all.

With the amPlug’s AC30 + Treble Booster setting, and three onboard effects (“Brighton Rock” delay, phaser and chorus) inspired by Brian, the amPlug Brian May is literally “the Brian May tone in the palm of your hand”.

But the amPlug Brian May goes further than delivering on tone. Featuring a range of backing rhythms, including the “We Will Rock You” stomps and claps, you can jam along to classic tracks in your headphones.

The headphone amp is available individually, or with a matching speaker cab.

Introducing the MV50 Brian May:
Powered by Vox’s Nutube technology – a revolutionary new vacuum tube that produces authentic tube tone at a fraction of the size and power – the MV50 Brian May is based on the MV50 circuitry and AC30 tone, but with the addition of a KAT (Knight Audio Technologies) treble booster, which can be toggled on or off, allowing guitarists to achieve Brian May’s instantly recognisable tone.

The MV50 is available individually, or with a matching speaker cab.

"It's perfect for any smaller show, and if you want to put a mic in front of it, it'll do for your big gigs as well. I wouldn't mind going on some future stadium gig and seeing how this shapes up,” said Brian May on the MV50 set.

With a 50w output at 4ohms, the MV50 packs a large punch despite its small size, making it just as suited for gigging and rehearsal as for practicing at home. And with speaker emulation in the headphone/line out, the MV50 Brian May can be recorded without needing to mic up a cab.

Look the part:
As well as helping you achieve the unique tone of Brian May, his new signature range of Vox products will also help you look the part.

Brian May’s signature amPlug and MV50, plus their matching speaker cabs, have been designed as a nod to his iconic ‘Red Special’ guitar.

Both products have been finished in red, with their matching cabs finished in Vox’s quintessential diamond-patterned cloth, complemented with Brian May’s signature, to represent his personal approval of the amp which bears his name.

Both the MV50 Brian May and amPlug Brian May are available in a special collector’s edition
set, including matching speaker cab, keychain and postcards.
