Queen Tribute In Modena, Italy

The city that will host the official national event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Queen and the commemoration of the 20th years since Freddie Mercury passed away is one of the most renowned in Italy for the international music.

The event will take place on 26th November at Pala Panini and is set up by We will Rock You (the official Italian fan club) and QueenItalia (the Italian online Queen community) in association with Quattro Eventi and the municipality of Modena.

26th November will be a day totally dedicated to Queen, celebrated with a marathon of concerts that will involve the major Italian tribute and cover bands from 17 until midnight, performing all the songs of the band: from the stadium-wide hits up to the rarest tracks for the hardcore fans.

The guest star of the event will be Peter Hince, who worked as roadie for Queen from 1975 until their last concert in 1986, who will delight the audience with the finest memorabilia and will present his brand new book, “Queen Unseen”.

The night will also see the Italian preview of the official book “40 years of Queen” : one copy signed by Brian May will be also auctioned for benefit.

This won’t be the only benefit presence in the evening: the whole event proceeds (the admittance ticket is 15 euro) will go to Mercury Phoenix Trust (a charity born in 1992 following the tragic death of Freddie Mercury in order to rise the AIDS awareness) and to Asa 97, a local association active in Modena to give relief to the people affected by AIDS and to their relatives.

The event will be hosted by Giulia Salvi, one of the voices of Virgin Radio, and will see the presence of Rolling Stone as media partner plus the support of two big local realities such as Centro Commerciale Grandemilia and ACI Modena.

Tickets are currently on sale through Booking Show and Ticketone.
