To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Freddie Mercury's debut solo album, Mr Bad Guy, we revisit a classic interview he gave in 1985 to promote the initial release. Famously wary of journalists, the interview was conducted by one of the few Freddie trusted, David Wigg. The result is a revealing, witty and insightful chat, and in the first of a three-part series, we can enjoy Freddie at his mischievous best as he explains what prompted him to take a break from Queen to go solo.
