The Story of Bohemian Rhapsody - Sunday, November 2nd at 4pm

Greatest Hits Radio will be exploring this much-loved song on its 50th anniversary in The Story of Bohemian Rhapsody, narrated by Claire Sturgess and featuring exclusive interviews with Brian May and Roger Taylor. 

It uncovers how the seeds for this iconic track were laid as far back as their first album, thanks to the song 'My Fairy King'; how recording at iconic studio Rockfields helped them bond as a band and why Kenny Everett was integral to making it a hit.

The pair also discuss the groundbreaking video, shot in Elstree studios by the BBC’s Outside Broadcast Sports Video Unit for £8000.

The documentary is available to listen to now exclusively in the Rayo app, following the conclusion of Greatest Hits Radio’s legendary Top 500 Countdown on which 'Bohemian Rhapsody' took the No.1 spot!

Over 21,000 total song votes from listeners were counted, and this year’s Top 500 songs were played on Greatest Hits Radio, from Monday, 27th October and culminated in the Number One airing at 5pm in Simon Mayo’s Drivetime Show on Friday, October 31st.

The documentary will be broadcast on Greatest Hits Radio, on Sunday, November 2nd, at 4pm.
